  • Executive Director

  • Joseph Comerford came to ETD to serve as Executive Director in January of 2009. He began in the transit industry over 20 years ago by washing and driving buses at UConn, later heading the Monroe Transit System in Monroe, LA for over five years. Since returning to Connecticut, he has worked with the ETD Board of Directors, CTDOT and ETD staff to expand bus routes, increase hours of service and introduce new technologies and amenities to improve the customer experience.  He is currently heading the effort to construct the district’s first operating and maintenance facility.

  • Operations Manager

  • Margaret Gomez joined ETD as Operations Manager in 2019.   Margaret served as the call center manager for Greater Hartford Transit District and as a manager for Greyhound.  Margaret is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operations of ETD including all bus operators and dispatchers and has a passion for safety.

  • Finance Manager

  • Halyna Famiglietti has served as ETD’s Finance Manager since 2004. She has overseen the districts transition from a small rural transit district with all services outsourced to a $2 million urban district with most services conducted by in-house staff. She has worked to improve the agencies financial record keeping, which has been evidenced by four consecutive audits containing no findings of material weakness.
