NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Estuary Transit District (ETD) will conduct public hearings May 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Deep River Town Hall, 174 Main St, Deep River, CT; May 2, 2018 at 9:00 AM at Clinton Town Hall Green Room, 54 E Main St, Clinton, CT; May 3, 2018 at 5:00 PM at Mulvey Municipal Center (Multi-Media Room), 866 Boston Post Rd, Westbrook, CT regarding proposed service changes.  The service plan proposes the following effective July 1, 2018:

  • -Elimination of the senior fare subsidy, which would result in seniors paying a fare on all services.
  • -Reducing service on Route 2 Riverside by 8 hours per weekday (click here for proposed schedule).
  • -Elimination of all Saturday service
  • -Reducing service on Route 1 Shoreline Shuttle by 3 hours per day (click here for proposed schedule).
  • -Fare increase as follows:

Written statements concerning the proposal may be submitted either at the hearing, by email to info@estuarytransit.org or mail/delivery to: Estuary Transit District, 17 Industrial Park Rd, Suite 6, Centerbrook, CT 06409.  Written statements must be received no later than May 11, 2018 and will be given the same consideration as oral statements.  Deaf and hearing impaired persons or people with limited English proficiency wishing to attend this hearing and requiring an interpreter must notify the ETD no later than April 24, 2018.
