Fares

Fares can be paid on the bus or in advance through tickets or passes. Please have your fare, pass, or transfer ready when you board the bus. The Bus Operator cannot make change on the bus. Money saving tickets and passes may be purchased online or at the Middletown Transportation Center and our Shoreline office. Some tickets and passes are also available at the Stop & Shop stores in Old Saybrook, Clinton, or Madison and at Adam’s Market in Deep River. They may also be purchased online using the buttons below.

General Fare Information

  • Cash Fares

Cash fares are paid on board the bus. Driver cannot make change. The farebox only holds change for 30 seconds, then drops. If your fare drops, you will be required to pay again. When purchasing a day pass on board (where available), notify the driver before inserting payment.

  • Connecting Services Fares

Transfers are accepted from CTtransit and Southeast Area Transit. Period passes (such as Monthly passes, Seven-Day, Day Passes, and more) are also accepted from CT Transit at transfer points.

Transfers may only be used once and will not be issued to customers paying with a transfer or timed pass. Transfers are accepted from all connecting transit services.  Transfers are not accepted on Dial-A-Ride, ADA Paratransit or XtraMile.
